Better protecting your information

Major changes to UK data privacy law came into effect on 25 May 2018. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the current Data Protection Act (DPA). The intention is to ensure individuals have more control over how their personal information is gathered, stored and used by organisations. GDPR requires organisations to gain the consent of individuals regarding the use of their personal information and to ensure that personal information is better protected. In addition, organisations are required to respond to any request made by individuals regarding the details of any personal information it holds within one month of that request.

Privacy Statement & Policy

TBB Design (TBBD) undertakes graphic design projects for clients for use in print and online media (in the public domain), including corporate identity, logos and guidelines, stationery, promotional material, brochures, leaflets, advertisements, mailings, emails, websites and other digital material.

TBBD clients include direct clients and third parties working on behalf of their clients. When TBBD clients supply us with copy, data, images and other material and information to be featured in items to be designed they should be aware of their responsibilities in ensuring the necessary permissions have been gained for the specific or general use of that material in the public domain. In the context of GDPR, clients of TBBD should also ensure that individuals whose personal information, names and/or contact details are to be featured have given their permission. No other use is made by TBBD of these name and contact details, which are stored securely on computer as part of the project record in our client files.

TBBD maintains a list of main client contacts comprising the name and business contact details of the client employees responsible for liaising with us to provide project briefs and material to be used in the items concerned, agree quotes and issue orders. TBBD also maintains a list of finance contacts comprising the names and business contact details of client employees responsible for the receipt and payment of its invoices and dealing with payment queries. Main client and finance contact lists are both stored securely on computer in our client files. The only use made of these contact details by TBBD is to provide clients with relevant project related information, quotes, ideas and recommendations, proofs, artwork and invoices and to communicate with them on associated administrative matters. When a client provides new contact details the old contact details are deleted from our files.

TBBD is committed to meeting the requirements of GDPR and keeping client and personal information secure and we take reasonable precautions to protect this information from loss or misuse. We will never market or sell on client or personal information to a third party for any purpose. We expect any third party involved in delivering any project to meet these requirements.
